Wpc Decking is mixture of 60% wood flour and 35%high density polyethylene with the addition of 5% certain additives to improve physical, weathering and processing properties.The polyethylene used in this product is a high quality, recycled materialmade up of mainly calcium powder, plastic and compatibilizermaterial.The wood flours are also a recoveredmaterial which are processed, filtered and driedbefore being compounded with the polyethylene.The resulting product 100% recyclable.
Q1: Does WPC work like wood?
A: Yes! You can cut, nail, drill, screw, and rout with standard woodworking tools. The density of Wanhe WPC is greater than wood.
Q2: Why does WPC not need painting?
A: We provide multi colors for customer selection you can check our catalog. You can choose any of the colors you like from our color boards. Or we can customize your own color. OEM accepts also.
Q3: Does WPC fade?
A: All the WPC product will fade a little after it is exposed to the sun and undergoes the weather. Theanti-UV additives are added to reduce the fading and it will be much suitable for outdoor application. During the first 3 months, the color may fade a little with an approximated percentage of 5% to 10%, this will not affect the overall effect. After that, the color will stay at a stable level through the lifetime of the product.
Q4: How to store WPC products?
A: WPC products are much heavier than wood with the same volume. It should be placed on the flat floor for long time storage to prevent warping. We usually suggest customers use galvanized steel pallets for WPC packing.
Q5: Are WPC products easy to install?
A: Definitely yes. Our customers can find all fitting and hardware in our factory. We provide installation instructions and
installation videos to ensure the success of the installation. We are pretty sure that our products can meet your DIY request.
Q6: Can I install the decking immediately when received the products?
When received your WPC decking boards, we recommend you allow several days to adjust to your local temperature and conditions before starting working. We do not recommend installing your deck in cold weather.
Q7. What's WPC?
WPC is short for Wood Plastic Composite. The combination of the raw materials is mostly 30% recycled plastic (HDPE) and 55% wood powder, plus 15% additives such as anti-UV agent, lubricant, light stabilizer and etc.
Q8. What's the process to make WPC decking tile?
(a) Mix raw materials according to a certain formula, then make them into pellets.
(b) By extrusion machine and mold, shape the products in customized profile and size.
(c) Do surface treatment such as sanding or embossing, then cut the WPC decking by requested length.
(d) Assemble the decking boards with the plastic base with screws, then do the cleaning beforepacking.
